This article is about the move in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. For the trio move in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, see Trio Glider.

Template:Form-infobox Plane Mario is one of Mario's transformations seen in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and the first one obtained. Like his other origami-themed forms, it is granted to him in the form of a "curse" from one of the Black Chest Demons.

Plane Mario Mode allows Mario to morph into a paper airplane. However, this move can only be activated when pressing Y Button on top of a Plane Panel. It is very similar to Boat Mario in this manner. As a paper airplane, Mario will constantly float downward at a diagonal angle, and this slope may be leveled off by tilting Control Stick in the opposite direction of Plane Mario's descent. Flying in this manner, though, will result in the ride being slower, sometimes taken to the extreme of Plane Mario dropping straight to the ground. If necessary, the player can end Plane Mario's ride by pressing B Button, resulting in Plane Mario transforming back into his standard self.

A minigame in the Pianta Parlor utilizes this move.
