The Giant Cannon is a device that appears in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It was created in part by the elusive General White himself. It is located in the Fahr Outpost under a huge underground chamber and is made fully operational. It was also kept a largely guarded secret to anyone who was neither a Bob-omb nor a resident of Fahr Outpost, mostly due to fear that it could be used for evil if it was revealed. When Mario goes there in hopes of finding a way to the Moon, he is informed that he must seek out Goldbob and General White if he wished to use the cannon. After he finally tracks them down, Mario speaks to the Fahr Outpost Mayor once more and the Giant Cannon is activated. It is, by far, the biggest cannon ever to be seen in a Mario game. Loaded with tons and tons of Bob-ombs, Mario hops inside and is shot to the Moon, his final destination before The Thousand-Year Door.
