Volcano (object)

World 2-B of New Super Mario Bros. 2 features hills made up of slope tiles with distinct red crusts, referred to as volcanoes.[1] If a Bob-omb explodes near the red crust of a volcano, the crust breaks and the volcano releases coins. Only four volcanoes appear in the course; one is found in an underground area and must be destroyed in order to obtain the course's second Star Coin.
These objects are not to be confused with the volcanoes in the background of World 6-1 that erupt volcanic debris.
