The Rolling Gizmo Galaxy is a galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. It is one of the three Trial Galaxies. It is a more challenging version of Rolling Green Galaxy's concept, this galaxy also featuring the Rolling Ball. Unlike the Rolling Green Galaxy, which is rather plain and grassy, this galaxy is made of many moving and spinning gadgets and electronics.

Planets/Areas[edit]

Starting Area[edit]

The title of this section is conjectural; an official name for the section's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an acceptable name is found, then the section should be changed to the new title.

This first part of the course consists of a zigzag leading up to four giant blocks that must be destroyed by jumping and ramming into them with the Ball. Behind the blocks is a bridge that Mario must knock down much like the blocks. A formation of blue Star Bits shaped like a Rupee, the currency in The Legend of Zelda series, hovers in the gap behind the bridge, which can only be viewed before it is knocked down, if Mario looks down from the top of it. Past the bridge is a launcher that will send Mario to the second part of this area. It is a concave platform with a hole in the center and coins all around it. The hole leads to the second area.

Area 2[edit]

The title of this section is conjectural; an official name for the section's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an acceptable name is found, then the section should be changed to the new title.

The second part is a wide orange platform with holes and Goombas. A ramp is placed on each side.

Area 3[edit]

The title of this section is conjectural; an official name for the section's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an acceptable name is found, then the section should be changed to the new title.

The third part is a large area full of many different gadgets. There are several spinning gear-shaped platforms, a large die that slides back and forth to push the player off the edge, and several Bob-omb dispensers.

Area 4[edit]

The title of this section is conjectural; an official name for the section's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an acceptable name is found, then the section should be changed to the new title.

This is the final area, consisting of a large gear and a long walkway with two dice running around it, which can push Mario off. This leads up to the windmill and the final hole that will break the Rolling Ball. Except for the final platform, this area vanishes once the Power Star is freed.

Trivia[edit]

  • It is possible to make a Goomba fall down from the platform in the second area. Should Mario lure this Goomba from the far right hand side of the orange area toward the blue sloped area opposite, and then roll the Rolling Ball on top of it when on the blue area, the Goomba will disappear, and will be seen falling downward through the sky.[1][better source needed]
