- —Cinder Toad, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Cinder Toad (originally known as Hinopio) is a reclusive Mushroom person in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its remake. He is a biker-like person with a flame pattern on his mushroom "cap." Cinder Toad used to live in the Mushroom Kingdom, but he moved out a long time ago to set up his own shop in Barrel Volcano.[1] Cinder Toad seems to be comfortable in the volcano and spends his time running the Cinder Mart (originally known as Hino Mart), which actually consists of separate shops that sell both items and armor. On a shelf in the back of Cinder Toad's shop, there are toy models of Captain Falcon's and Samurai Goroh's F-Zero machines, the Blue Falcon and the Fire Stingray, in addition to an Arwing from Star Fox. The Cinder Mart also has an "inn" inside, which is a pile of crates for Mario and his allies to sleep on.
Profiles and statistics[edit]
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars[edit]
- Player's Guide (Who's Who): Hinopio moved out of the Mushroom Kingdom long ago to set up shop for himself in the Barrel Volcano. He has a bit of everything you need in his shops, but he also has things that you don't need, like the model airplanes on the stack of crates. This groovy guy runs the worst Inn in the game, making you stay the night. Even the music in the Hino Mart has a different sound from the rest of the game. What does it all add up to? Buy what you need, because the Czar Dragon is just ahead. In particular, stock up on Mid Mushrooms and Maple Syrup.[1]
