In Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, Cream once again serves as one of the more common referees alongside Toad, Espio the Chameleon, and Charmy Bee. She, along with Toad, hosts the London Party mode, and she also can be seen making cameos in various events. A suit based on her can be unlocked and be worn by the player's Mii. Her Chao friend Cheese makes his introduction in the series within this game and accompanies her throughout this installment.

She also appears as a character that can be spoken to in London Party mode in order to play various minigames and earn stickers. A suit based on her can be unlocked and be worn by the player's Mii, and Cream will also occasionally send the player mail.

In the Nintendo 3DS version, she maintains her role as a host and referee. In addition, she makes an appearance within the story mode along with Cheese. She is first seen when the main stadium becomes covered with Phantasmal Fog once again (after the heroes had cleared up London from the fog the first time) and is seen to be looking for her friends with Cheese. Unfortunately, the two come upon four fog clones (based on Mario, Luigi, Sonic, and Tails) that immediately attack the young girl as nearby Shy Guys flee from the scene in cowardice. Fortunately, the real Mario and Sonic arrive (along with Luigi, Tails, Toad, and Omochao in tow) and save Cream and Cheese from the attack by challenging the fog clones.

At first, Cream becomes confused to see two versions of her friends. Tails explains the situation to her and comforts her, then tells Cream (along with Cheese) to stay by Toad in order to be safe (with Toad agreeing to protect her by cheering on for the others). After the fog clones are defeated, Cream thanks the others for their help and calls them her "heroes". Not too long after, Omega arrives at the scene and informs the group of a new area to investigate, Stonehenge, for more clues about the reappearance of the fog. As Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Tails, Toad, and Omega head off to investigate Stonehenge, Cream wishes the team good luck on their quest after having decided to remain at the main stadium along with Cheese and Omochao.

Cream is later seen celebrating with the rest of the characters in the opening ceremony which occurs after the heroes manage to defeat Dr. Eggman and Bowser and save London from the Phantasmal Fog.
In the Nintendo 3DS version, Cream appears in the Story Mode episode A Rainbow In Fog, where she and Cheese are attacked by a group of imposters and are saved by Mario, Luigi, Toad, Sonic, Tails and Omochao, who explain to them what is happening before defeating the imposters. After the imposters are defeated, Cream thanks the group for their help and decide to stay behind at the Main Stadium, with Cream later appearing at the opening ceremony. A badge of Cream can also be obtained from the badge machine.

The only time when Cream has appeared in the Super Mario franchise is in the Mario & Sonic series. Cream is voiced by Rebecca Honig in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, and by Michelle Ruff starting in Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

History[edit]

Mario & Sonic series[edit]

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games[edit]

Cream the Rabbit
Cream as one of the referees in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

Cream appears as a referee in both versions of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. In the Wii version, Cream appears in the opening refereeing the 100m, Table Tennis and Hammer Throw. In the Nintendo DS version, Cream appears as a referee for the Sonic characters in Long Jump, Triple Jump, Javelin Throw, 10m Platform, Trampoline and Vault, as well as a referee for all characters in Individual epée and Dream Fencing.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games[edit]

In the next installment, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, Cream reprises her role as a referee in the events. Cream also appears as one of the scorekeepers of the Festival Mode along with Toad. In this mode, she and Toad serve as the main hosts and announce the day's events; they can be seen cheering for the player throughout.

Cream alongside Toad and many other hosts in the unlockable group photo

In the Nintendo DS version of the game, Cream appears in the story mode beside a locked chest. After some recommendation of talking to her by Toad, Mario and Sonic can speak to her and obtain a new type of gear from opening the chest she was struggling with. Due to her polite nature, she is content with giving the obtained item to Mario and Sonic for their adventure. In the ending, an unlockable photo of her alongside Toad and many of the other hosts can be obtained.

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games[edit]

In the Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, Cream appears as a referee in several Events and also hosts the London Party mode alongside Toad and Cheese. She also appears as a character that can be spoken to in London Party mode in order to play various minigames and earn stickers. A suit based on her can be unlocked and be worn by the player's Mii, and Cream will also occasionally send the player mail.

Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games[edit]

Cream returns in the Nintendo 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, this time as a playable character exclusive to the Beach Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Plus events.

Cream is not playable in the Wii U version; in this installment, she is operating the Sonic Item Stand on Copacabana Beach.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020[edit]

Cream appears as a non-playable character in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. In Quick Match mode, she can be seen clapping for the players at the award ceremony along with Toad and Cheese. She also has an arc during the game's story mode. During the odd-numbered chapters (where Luigi and Tails are exploring Tokyo during 2020) Cream can be found at different locations touring the city (though the story will only continue if the player visits her locations during each chapter). She can be found at the following locations:

 • Chapter 3: Tokyo Station
 • Chapter 5: Shibuya Scramble Crossing
 • Chapter 7: Kabukiza Theatre
 • Chapter 9: Tokyo Tower
 • Chapter 11: Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building
 • Chapter 13: Tokyo Skytree
 • Chapter 15: Kaminarimon
 • Chapter 17: Tokyo Station

A young rabbit who is always accompanied by her Chao friend, Cheese. Once a member of Team Rose, she's a spirited go-getter who always gives it her all. Her polite and courteous manner is thought to be a result of her mother's strict discipline. Cream can use her large ears to fly, and her Chao Attack, where she launches Cheese like a missile, is a powerful weapon.

Sidekick to Amy Rose, Cream the Rabbit is a cute, hardworking friend. She has a Chao named Cheese, and they make a great team. She probably wants to cream the next person who makes a joke about their names, but I can't help but want a cream- cheese bagel when I talk about them... (American English)
You don't often see Cream without Cheese. (Excuse us, we're suddenly really hungry.) Actually, Cream is a lovely, hardworking little rabbit, and Cheese is her beloved pet Chao. They're the perfect, adorable little team, and not in the slightest bit edible. (British English)
