The snow spirits are a group of six spirits that appear in the Adventure Tours of the Nintendo DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. The snow spirits consist of Frosty, Sparky, Pola, Cuby, Icy, and Blizza. Each of the snow spirits' names are puns on the towns they live in, which are Frostown, Sparkleton, Polastraits, Cubyrinth, Icepeak and Blizland, respectively. Each of the snow spirits have their own personalities. Frosty is the leader of the group, and has a determined attitude. Sparky is very energetic and full of life, Pola is gentle, sweet and calm, Cuby is energetic and always wants to eat, Icy is doubtful and unconfident, and in contrast to Icy's personality, Blizza is very confident and serious.

During Adventure Tours' story, the snow spirits are captured by Bowser and Dr. Eggman as part of their scheme to melt all of the snow in the Winter Games. In order to stop the duo, Mario and Sonic team up to save the snow spirits. They first encounter Frosty, who managed to escape from being captured by Bowser and Dr. Eggman, and he asks Mario and Sonic to help rescue the other snow spirits. Sparky is later encountered by Mario and Sonic. It is trapped by Eggman Nega, and is saved after defeating him. The third snow spirit encountered is Pola, who is rescued after Mario and Sonic defeat Dry Bowser. Next, Mario and Sonic encounter Cuby. Like Sparky, he is rescued after Eggman Nega is defeated by Mario and Sonic. After saving Cuby, Mario and Sonic attempt to save Icy, who is saved after defeating Big Bullet Bill. The last snow spirit to be rescued is Blizza, who is rescued after defeating Rouge. Although all of the spirits have been saved, Frosty gets kidnapped by Dry Bowser. After that, Mario and Sonic defeat him alongside Blizza, which saves Frosty. At the end of the game, the snow spirits all return to their home islands to keep the snow going.
