Star Blocks appear in Super Paper Mario. They serve as goals for every chapter in the game. After one of the four heroes hits one of these blocks, the chapter will end, and the player will have the option to save. After that, there is a short dialogue and/or cutscene, then the next chapter will start (or, in the case of any chapter-4 levels, the player will return to Flipside). There is also a reference to Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door; when Mario hits the block, the seven Crystal Stars from that game pop out, form a ring, and disappear

Star Blocks are objects in Super Paper Mario. They are blocks that serve as the goal of most sub-chapters, and activating them clears the sub-chapter then prompts the player to save. Star Blocks have a rainbow aesthetic and a spinning star within. The sub-chapter at the end of each chapter initially does not have a Star Block and is cleared by getting a Pure Heart (or, in the case of Chapter 8-4, by clearing the game). If the heroes revisit such a sub-chapter, the Star Block at the end takes them over to Flipside.
