Terra Cottas are advanced versions of the Terrapin soldiers that appear in Bowser's Keep in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Their name comes from "Terrapin," but it is also a pun on the name of the ceramic terracotta. As well as having red shells, Terra Cottas further distinguish themselves from their green-shelled Terrapin brethren by wielding swords in battle. If Bowser is in battle, they, along with Pro Goombas and Malakoopas, will either flee early in battle out of fear or become confused and attack themselves or other enemies.
