The Special Frog Coin, originally known as the RareFrogCoin due to character limits, is a special item in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its remake. It is a unique Frog Coin given to Mallow by the Frog Sage, who sends Mallow to buy a Cricket Pie in Mushroom Kingdom. But a thieving Croco steals the coin, so Mario and Mallow track the thief down to Bandit's Way and reclaim the coin after battling Croco. With the coin back in Mallow's hands, he can exchange it for the Cricket Pie at the town's shop, but only after defeating Claymorton.
