Variant of Shy Guy

Woozy Guys are Shy Guys that perform forward flips in the air instead of walking. Debuting in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, they went on to appear in subsequent platform games in the Yoshi franchise.

History[edit]

Yoshi's Island series[edit]

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island / Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3[edit]

Woozy Guys first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, returning in Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. They move forward with short jumps, rotating while in the air. Between jumps, they briefly stand still on the ground. They can harm the Yoshi at direct contact, but can be defeated using any attack, such as stomping on them, eating them, or throwing an egg at them.

Yoshi's Island DS[edit]

It has been requested that this article be rewritten and expanded to include more information. Reason: is the Island Museum the only place in this game where they appear?

In Yoshi's Island DS, they appear in the Island Museum.

Yoshi's New Island[edit]

Yoshi's New Island features Woozy Guys exclusively in the course King Clawdaddy's Sewer Castle, where they are spat out by a Caged Ghost.

Yoshi's Woolly World / Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World[edit]

In Yoshi's Woolly World and Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World, unlike in previous appearances, all Woozy Guys in this game are purple to help distinguish between them and other color Shy Guys.

Yoshi's Crafted World[edit]

In Yoshi's Crafted World, they go back to sharing the same colors as Shy Guys, except in Hoop-Jump Hop, where Shy Guys wear circus attire, and Outer Orbit, where Shy Guys wear space attire and are affected by low gravity.
