Items are collectible or otherwise noteworthy objects found in every game in the Mario, Donkey Kong, Wario, and Yoshi series. The significance of items is most closely related to the type of game it is from. For example, an item from the Mario Kart games is most likely be a weapon or a kart power-up while an item from the RPG series is most likely to have use in battle or be related to a quest. However, the most famous items are the collectible items from the main platformer series. Below is a list of all of the items found in Mario's universe.
