A Snag Bag

The Snag Bag is an item featured in Mario Party DS that costs eight coins. Its purpose is to steal an item from an opponent. The user of the Snag Bag is allowed to choose a single opponent as the Snag Bag's target, similar to the Plunder Chest as it appeared in Mario Party 3. The bag steals one random item from the opponent, including both ordinary items bought from Item Shops as well as Hexes. Afterwards, the player will roll the Dice Block and continue their turn as normal.

Trivia[edit]

  • CPUs are programmed in a way to target the highest controller port outside of themselves when using the Snag Bag. This means that (skipping the player slot the CPU is on) they will always go for the order of P4, then P3, then P2, then P1 depending on who has an item.[1]
