Paper Mario description A strange artifact found in Dry Dry Ruins.
“Do my eyes deceive me, or is that a clue to Dry Dry Ruins?”
Kolorado, Paper Mario

The Artifact (alternatively known as the Ancient Artifact[1]) is a key item found in Dry Dry Ruins in Paper Mario. It resembles a humanoid dogū, a small clay figurine from ancient Japan. It can be acquired after obtaining the Super Hammer, as it is found behind a Stone Block in the long corridor (the first room with the Staircase switches) between the two hub rooms of the ruins. If given to Kolorado, Mario receives a Star Piece.
