The Mushroom Kingdom, also titled Mushroomsville,[1] appears in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its remake as a location. It is inhabited by Mushroom People and is located to the east of Mushroom Way. Some of the residents include the Manager of the item shop, Raz, Raini, and the Game Boy-playing boy at the inn.
Some time after Mario first visits the Chancellor and then helps Mallow retrieve his Frog Coin, Mushroom Kingdom is shown to be taken over by Shymores, the only enemies ever encountered in the Mushroom Kingdom. Some of the Shymores are seen targeting some of the civilians. They only leave once Claymorton, who led the invasion, is defeated. Following this, Raz and Raini go to Marrymore to become married and later celebrate their honeymoon at Yo'ster Isle.
The theme of the location is the basis for the e-Coin Castle theme in Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3.
