Chomp, known as Monster Toss in the remake, is the name given to a special offensive move that Croco and the Lakitus of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars use. When it is used, the enemy throws another enemy critter at a member of the player's party, dealing great damage, and may down them. The player can halve the damage of the attack by pressing the defense button before the object falls on the member. Croco uses this attack when he fights against Mario in Moleville. Additionally, Croco uses the move only when he has removed the items' pack of Mario's party.

Trivia
- Throphers use an unnamed attack similar to Chomp. However, instead of throwing a random enemy, Throphers throw a random object that appears in the game, including bones, bombs, and even music notes.
