- “Assuming we can trust the ominous stranger
, having THREE Heroes cooperating on the battlefield would give a HUGE advantage!”
- —Beep-0, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
Driven to the Edge is a Darkmess Tentacle battle in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope located inside the Sunrise Temple on Beacon Beach. It is right after the Temple Rescue battle. The main objective of the battle is to defeat Giant Wildclaw. This is the first battle to have Edge, and she is a required hero for the battle. The Spark Exosphere is automatically equipped to Edge, and also must be used for the battle. This battle is part of the In Deep Water Main Quest. This is also the first battle to have three heroes. Completion of the battle grants the team a Purified Darkmess Energy Crystal, along with the Giant Enemies Memory.
After clearing this battle, it can be refought again at any time from the Main Quest menu, marked by a replay icon, then selecting "Replay Battle". This is also the final battle in the demo.
Layout[edit]
The battlefield is a giant mostly square shape with four smaller squares filled with water close to the center around the edges. There are four Stooges at the start; two behind cover and two in a line pattern leading to the Giant Wildclaw, which allows players to understand that Edge's Flying Blade strikes at enemies in a line.
Battle[edit]
During the battle, Darkmess portals containing Stooges will appear, which marks the first appearance of Darkmess portals.
After the Giant Wildclaw is defeated, the battle is cleared, and Edge obtains a Purified Darkmess Energy Crystal, as she is locked as the leader for the battle.
