The Kraken Icon for the Kraken in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope! We got it for a song after its last four films flopped. We added a bit of Darkmess to it for realism. Its weak points are the Darkmess Eyes Darkmess Eye icon on its back - when it turns, they are exposed. That's your opportunity to strike! The Kraken focuses its attacks on those islands. Fortunately, it must recharge afterwards. THAT'S your chance to strike! Should you perish, try to scream "ARRR!" or something piratey - it will add to the gravitas of the scene.”

The Kraken is a large cardboard cutout prop based on the legendary sea monster of the same name that appears in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, exclusively in the Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC. It is found in the Pirate Set. It is also fought in the battle The Kraken.

When the heroes arrive at the Pirate Set, the Phantom informs them that Darkmess has overtaken the set, and that they are using real Darkmess Eyes for the Kraken. The heroes must find and throw Darkmess Eggs to destroy all four Darkmess Eyes on the Kraken. Afterwards, a Darkmess Puddle emerges on the pirate ship, which the heroes must cleanse.

In battle, the Kraken is located in the center of the battlefield, surrounded by four islands. The Kraken may become angry, and attack within the islands by sending a large wave, bouncing and damaging heroes within range. However, it cannot do this every turn and must recharge after attacking, thus reverting to its neutral expression. The Kraken rotates a little bit after every turn. To defeat the Kraken, the heroes must attack Darkmess Eyes on its back. There are nine Darkmess Eyes total, but only three appear at a time. After three Darkmess Eyes are destroyed, the next three will appear. After all of the Darkmess Eyes are destroyed, the battle is won.

THE KRAKEN

I um... I don't know what to say about THIS, other than I'm fairly certain it's a set piece from the low budget sci-fi film "The Robot vs. the Kraken vs. the Bride of the Giant Shrinking Man". The prop department has stuck some Darkmess Eyes on the Kraken, giving it an even more bizarre and yet menacing appearance than in the film.

Trivia[edit]

  • The battle against the Kraken is similar to the battle against the Wiggler; the heroes must destroy sets of Darkmess Eyes on the boss to win.
