Blight at the End of the Tunnel is a Darkmess Puddle battle in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, located on the planet Palette Prime, specifically in the secret passage under Woodrow's house. This battle is part of the Main Quest The Fallen King. The name is a pun on the phrase "light at the end of the tunnel", which means that negative things are going to end soon; positive things will soon occur.

This marks the first battle to have Depleters, which are short range enemies that do high damage, heal from their projectiles, and can counter hero attacks. The heroes must defeat all of the Depleters to win the battle. After the Depleters are all defeated, the battle is won.

Layout[edit]

The battlefield is medium sized, with many Jump Panels scattered throughout the battlefield. The battlefield has many points of high ground, along with ramps throughout the main platforms. There are two platforms that are small and have a Jump Panel, which can help the heroes traversing the battlefield.

In the center of the battlefield is a Flamin' Stooge. The 5 Depleters are scattered around the edges of the battlefield: they are on the bottom left, middle left, top left, middle right, and bottom right.

Battle[edit]

During the battle, Darkmess portals will appear, containing Flamin' Stooges. After the 5 Depleters are defeated, the battle is won.
