Deep, Dark Secret is the second Darkmess Puddle battle of Cursa's stronghold in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. In this battle, a Darkmess copy of Edge is fought, known as Darkmess Edge. It was created because Cursa created Edge, and thus was able to create a Darkmess copy of her. Edge must be used in this battle, while the player can choose the other three characters. After the battle, Edge reveals to the group that she was created by Cursa.

Layout[edit]

The battlefield is split across 6 floating islands, including the starting area, pipes connect between the islands, with the center island having a lower elevation than the others. Similar to King of Darkmess, the battlefield is symmetrical. Jump Panels are scattered across the islands. Darkmess Edge starts at the center island, along with a Medician and an Oozer. 2 Scopers are also present, one on the two back islands each.

Battle[edit]

During the battle, indestructible Darkmess portals will appear throughout the battlefield, containing said enemies, along with Spellraisers and Stooges. After Darkmess Edge is defeated, the battle is won.
