The Dryad is a minor character in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope residing in Spellbound Woods in Palette Prime. She is a small female Rabbid with red-orange pine cone-like hair. The Dryad is named after the mythological beings of the same name.
History[edit]
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope[edit]
Before the Heroes arrived, the Dryad and Sweetlopek had a rivalry, and thus did not like each other. This was because Sweetlopek was cutting down trees, which the Dryad did not like, being a forest spirit, and hid Sweetlopek's axe as a result.
After clearing the Darkmess Tentacles, Sweetlopek has a side quest for the Heroes named Bury the Hatchet, in which the Heroes must locate Sweetlopek's axe. After retrieving it, Sweetlopek tells the Heroes that he cannot chop down any trees, and must locate the Dryad, in another side quest named A Dryad's Dream.
When the Heroes find the Dryad, she is sleeping with a Spark named Zephyrdash, and then wakes up angrily, as she had just been woken up. Sweetlopek then argues with the Dryad about needing wood to fix the Sweetie Pie Honey Snookums Bridge, to which the Dryad argues that Sweetlopek has no idea what it takes to create more trees, and thus wants to show him herself at her nest, as she has seeds. However, Darkmess takes over the nest, and must be stopped in a battle, known as Nesting Instinct.
After the battle, the Dryad discovers that the seeds are missing, and that they must be returned to her. The Heroes return the seeds, and Sweetlopek apologizes to the Dryad, finally understanding that it takes so much to grow new trees. The two make up and fall in love. The Sweetie Pie Honey Snookums Bridge is fixed, and Zephyrdash joins the Heroes.
She also appears along with Sweetlopek in the game's third DLC, Rayman in the Phantom Show. The two of them argue over lost letters, but reconcile once the heroes return them.
Profiles[edit]
Memory bio[edit]
- THE DRYAD
Bio-forms are so unpredictable! The Dryad of the Spellbound Woods has been foil to Sweetlopek the Lumberjack for so long they became bitter adversaries. Yet even after their feud reached its crescendo, the pair built a bridge - both literally and figuratively, between the world of nature and industry. Balance, compassion, kindness, - these, much more than blasters, may be the key to setting the galaxy right.
