- “"The sun beat down upon Pristine Peaks, sweat glistened on Rabbid cheeks... Rabbids set themselves on a task, to sculpt a refrigerating stone mask! It will breathe cool air upon our backs! But then came Cursa's dark reprisal. The mask was corrupted with a tentacle's arrival. Its icy roar threatened all survival.”
- —Professor Backpack, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
The Riddle of Pristine Peaks is a Side Quest in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, located on the planet Pristine Peaks. It is one of the five riddles on the planets. The Quest giver is Professor Backpack.
After the heroes clear out the first Darkmess Tentacle on Pristine Peaks, they can find a cannon on the other side of the mountain that will lead them to a separate platform, where the riddle, along with Professor Backpack are. He is having trouble solving the riddle. There are three stone Rabbid faces, each with a different expression: the first has a depressed look with sweat, the second is happy, while the third is horrified. There are symbols above the faces, which the heroes can rotate. There are four symbols: a sun, a bird, a Stone Mask, and a Darkmess Tentacle on the mountain. Only one symbol can be seen on a face at a time, and all three faces have the same four symbols. The heroes must give the correct faces the correct symbols.
The left face must have the sun symbol, the middle face must have the Stone Mask symbol, and the right face must have the Darkmess Tentacle symbol. The bird symbol is not used at all. After the correct symbols are on the correct faces, they will all glow, and the riddle will be solved. The heroes are then awarded a Planet Coin, and a treasure chest appears, containing a Star Potion. Professor Backpack then thanks the heroes for helping him solve the riddle.
