The Defense Scarf (Rare Scarf in the original version) is an accessory in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It boosts both physical and magical defense by 15 points each. The Defense Scarf is found in a treasure box in the sky portion of Bean Valley. It can be sold for 75 coins, but cannot be replaced.
