Template:Quote2 Big Troopas, originally known as Heavy Troopas, are giant Paratroopas that appear in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its Nintendo Switch remake. They appear in the sky portion of Bean Valley as well as inside Nimbus Castle during Valentina's occupation. They are notably one of the only large enemies to appear on the overworld, as they guard certain doors. Their only attack is launching themselves towards a party member, which takes two turns to prepare. Two different empty shells from them, called Lazy Shells, can be found, one as armor and another as a weapon. They are similar to Grand Troopas, to which the game also refers to as Heavy Troopas when it states "Heavy Troopa’s ready to launch;" in the remake, this is fixed by replacing "Heavy Troopa" with "The big guy" in the quote.

Trivia
- Big Troopas look similar to Heavy Para-Beetles from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The head in their artwork is also shaped exactly the same as that of the overfed Baby Fat, so it is likely the model for the head was reused for both entities in rendering.
