“Once again, you may have fooled the others, but not me! Underneath all the glitz and glamor, you're the same Phantom Swingin' Phantom icon in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope! Same ego, same limited vocal range, same TACTICS! Well, if you can cling to tired old clichés, so can I! For example, do you remember this little quote of mine from our first adventure? "My sensors indicate that the Phantom is immune to attack when he's hogging the spotlight Icon for a spotlight in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope!" "If this greedy songbird is to sing his swan song we must find a way to turn off those lights!" Well, I mean by... dashing them, as it turned out.”

Spectral Swing is a battle in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, exclusively in the Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC. It is part of the The Control Room main Quest at the Space Opera Network. It is the first of three phases against the Phantom.

In this phase, the Phantom is in his Swingin' form, and is invincible while the spotlights are shining on him. The heroes must Dash at two lights to deactivate them, and thus will make the Phantom vulnerable to attacks. After the Phantom is defeated, the Burnin' Rock battle will immediately start.

Layout

The battlefield is large and in the shape of a square. The Phantom is in the middle of the battlefield, and there is high ground behind him. One light is in front of the heroes, while the other is behind the Phantom. Ten rings form a circle around the battlefield for Rayman to get around easily. Several Sea Stooges and groups of Goombas are present on the battlefield as well.

Battle

To make the Phantom vulnerable, the heroes must Dash at all of the lights to deactivate the spotlights. Darkmess Portals will appear during the battle, containing Sea Stooges and Ghostly Walkers. The turn limit goal is five turns; if it is not reached, it will affect the Burnin' Rock and Operatic Showdown battles. After the Phantom is defeated, the Burnin' Rock battle will immediately follow.
