The Beanstalk, originally The Vinery,[1] is an airborne collection of vines that connects Bean Valley to Nimbus Land starting from the Big Vine in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. There is no ground, but Mario is able to walk on the clouds. Vines scatter the area, but they do not grow out of the clouds; they float slightly above them, and many must be climbed on the way to the top. They come in a variety of colors. The only enemies here are Birdies and Big Troopas. After several vines, the Beanstalk ends with the entrance to Nimbus Land. An area to the left holds a longer alternate route that leads to the Defense Scarf, some other items, and the guarded Nimbus royal hot springs; this portion is fallen through after exiting Nimbus Castle, but cannot be explored during that event.
The Beanstalk is still considered part of Bean Valley according to the in-game Map and Shogakukan guide,[2] although it is instead considered part of Nimbus Land in the Player's Guide.[3]
