The Cricket Pie is a special item in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It is purchased from the item shop in Mushroom Kingdom with Mallow's Special Frog Coin, though it can only be purchased once the Shymore invasion has ended due to the shopkeeper panicking in a corner while it happens. Mallow had been sent to town to get the Cricket Pie by the Frog Sage. Once the player meets the Frog Sage, they can give him the Cricket Pie to cheer him up due to him being sad about Mallow's departure. After it is given to him, he gives Mallow the Froggie Stick weapon. While the weapon's use is optional, the player still needs to give him the Cricket Pie to complete the game, as without it, he will be too distracted to tell the party about Star Hill.
