Echofinder is a status-changing attack used by several enemies in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. This attack affects only one person of Mario's battle party. Echofinder damages the targeted party member and also inflicts them with the Mute status effect. The status effect can be prevented by wearing an accessory like the Wake-Up Pin or the Safety Badge. Certain armor, such as the Lazy Shell or the Super Suit, can also provide protection against Mute.
