==Trivia==
This battle is similar to the battle against [[Kinklink| Kinklink]]
# A blinding flashing white light in the background when Kinklink and Boomer has no HP left.
# If one looks closely, the fire vanishes while the background is white. This is also the case with the latter defeated.

Template:Quote2 Boomer is an honorable sword fighter and a high-ranking member of the Smithy Gang in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. After Smithy's forces occupy Bowser's Keep, Boomer is placed in charge of the new base.

After Mario fights his way past Smithy's minions, Boomer challenges Mario's party to a duel on chandeliers, the same chandeliers on which Mario fights Bowser at the beginning of the game. In battle, Boomer wields a katana and has the ability to switch between red and blue forms. While red, he is weak to magical attacks, and while blue, he is weak to physical attacks, though unless successfully affected by Toadstool's Mute ability, he will immediately counter an attack of each respective weakness with the powerful Shaker attack. After being defeated, apparently suffering from an asthma attack, he severs the rope holding the chandelier he is on and plummets to the ground (although the Chandeli-ho implies that he survived the fall), allowing Mario and his party to pass unhindered to the giant sword Exor.

Boomer closely resembles a shogun, which is an ancient Japanese commander. He even has an inscription of the Japanese flag on his helmet in his character artwork.
