Beetles appear in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars as a species collected by various characters. Trivia

  • The explanation for the price difference between male and female beetles is due to real-life male kabutomushi being more valued for their horns that female kabutomushi lack.[2] This sexual dimorphism can also be noticed in-game.
