Variant of Paratroopa

Malakoopas are green-shelled Paratroopas that appear in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Their name may be derived from malachite, a green gemstone. They appear alongside the much bulkier Grand Troopa in Bowser's Keep. Though loyal to Smithy, Malakoopas still recognize Bowser and run away if he is active in battle. If Bowser is not active, Malakoopas may sense his presence and become confused, causing them to attack themselves or other enemies. They possess a high Defense stat and have a weakness to Thunder.
