The Kero Sewers in the Nintendo Switch remake
The Kero Sewers are an underground waterway in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. They share a strong resemblance to the underground levels found in the original Super Mario Bros. with their turquoise color scheme and Brick Blocks. The Kero Sewers are located above the Midas River falls and are guarded by Belome. Moreover, a tunnel in Land's End leads to the Kero Sewers, which Mario and his party enter to find—among other things—Cricket Jam, a star, and many monsters on the way. If Mario enters the path to Land's End before using it to revisit the Kero Sewers, a Beezo will warn him that the area is a dead end.[1][2]
The Kero Sewers also appear in Mario and the Incredible Rescue. Mario, Luigi, and Toad use this shortcut to get to Bowser's Keep faster.
