Candies are consumable items in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam and Mario & Luigi: Brothership. In Dream Team and Paper Jam, they share their design with the Star Candy from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story; Brothership redesigns them to look like real wrapped candy. The item can be used by Mario or Luigi. When one of them eats it, they regain approximately 40% of their maximum Heart Points and Bros. Points in Dream Team and Paper Jam, or 30% in Brothership.

In Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, it can be bought from item shops at the start of the game for 25 coins. A couple of enemies have a chance of dropping them: Capnaps have a 2% chance of dropping a Candy when defeated, and Propellion has a 10% chance. They replace Golden Mushrooms and Star Candies from the previous installments, being both HP and BP restorative items. There are stronger variants of the regular Candies; Super Candies, Ultra Candies, and Max Candies. Additionally, in Brothership, if the player equips the Spirited Item Battle Plug, Candies can give a boost to Stache when eaten.
