- “Are you familiar with these pink flowers here? Step on one to put a spring in your step.”
- —Concordian, Mario & Luigi: Brothership
Bouncy Blooms are a type of flower in Mario & Luigi: Brothership, first appearing on Raynforst Island,[n 1] and then formally introduced on Florall Island. Usually pink-colored, these flowers bounce Mario and Luigi on contact and send them in the air for a moment before drifting back down, all while spinning. Their effect is similar to when Mario jumps off a Spindrift in Super Mario 64 or a Spring Vault or Spring Topman in the Super Mario Galaxy games. Blue Bouncy Blooms later appear on Shipshape Island which make Mario and Luigi move faster while in the air, and Slippenglide Island's Bouncy Blooms are covered in snow. The snow can be removed only by using either UFO Vacuum or a fireball while in Fire & Ice form.
During the credits, Prince Chilliam and Princess Burnadette can be seen playing on a Bouncy Bloom.

Footnotes[edit]
- ^ Bouncy Blooms actually first appear on Raynforst Island, in an area that cannot be accessed until the island's lighthouse is restored. However, the flowers cannot be interacted with as they are found floating high in the air, only reachable by rolling up ramps using Ball Blitz.
