Straw Heads are undead scarecrow-like enemies encountered on the Sunken Ship in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its remake. They are a variation on the Hobgoblin enemy found earlier in the game. Their name likely comes from Rawhead, an entity in folklore similar to a hobgoblin. Straw Heads are very uncommon to encounter. They are fairly weak, though they are not weak to fire despite being scarecrows. They attack with Stench and Scarecrow Funk, which can inflict the Poison and Scarecrow status effects respectively.
