King of Darkmess is a Darkmess Puddle battle in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, located at Cursa's stronghold. In this battle, a Darkmess copy of Bowser is fought, known as Darkmess Bowser. This is because the Megabug has possessed Bowser in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and thus has the memories to create Darkmess Bowser. The objective is to defeat Darkmess Bowser, and Bowser must be used in the battle. The player has the choice of bringing the 3 other characters.

Layout[edit]

The layout of the battlefield strongly resembles Bowser's Castle, containing the front doors, banners, and a throne, as well as the structure of the battlefield. The enemies that appear are also minions of Bowser. The battlefield is symmetrical, containing multiple Jump Panels, pipes, and levels of elevation. Explosive barrels are scattered around the battlefield as well. Darkmess Bowser is at the highest elevation behind cover, and 5 groups of 3 Goombas each are scattered at the lowest elevation; one group close to the start, and the other four in the center on opposite sides. 5 Magikoopas are also scattered around the battlefield, with one being close to the start, and the other four are at higher elevation on opposite ends of the battlefield.

Battle[edit]

During the battle, Darkmess portals containing Goombas and Magikoopas will appear. After Darkmess Bowser is defeated, the battle is won.

Enemies[edit]

Trivia[edit]

  • This is one of the few battles to not have any Rabbid enemies.
