An Arachne is a large black and yellow arachnid with three red eyes. They lived in Rose Way during the events of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Arachnes are physically powerful and have a high defense rating. As such, these spiders can be a serious threat to adventurers. Strangely, despite being so strong, Arachnes never attack on their own; they always aid other monsters in battle. During a confrontation, the Arachne attacks by gouging its victim with two deadly fangs. The spider monster also knows the special attack Venom Drool, which allows the Arachne to poison an opponent. Although physically strong, Arachnes are susceptible to most magic attacks.
More powerful variants of Arachnes known as Spinthras are found in Land's End.

Arachnes are arachnid enemies found in Rose Way in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its remake. They are named after Arachne, a character from Greek mythology who was turned into a spider. They are some of the more powerful enemies the party encounters early in the game, though they are fought only alongside other enemies. Arachnes attack with their mandibles, and they may also use the special attack Venom Drool. However, they are weak to most magic attacks.

More powerful variants of Arachnes known as Spinthras are found in Land's End.
