Glowing spots[1][2][3] are objects in the 3D Super Mario titles. They are glowing beams of light that dispenses an item when ground-pounded. Approaching them causes a rumble in the player's controller.

History[edit]

This article is a stub. Please consider expanding it to include any missing information. Specifics: Where does it show up specifically in these games? What about the dog and Mini Goombas? What Power Moons are found under glowing spots? How does rumble work?

Super Mario 3D World / Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury[edit]

Glowing spots first appear in Super Mario 3D World and can be ground-pounded to reveal items. Glowing spots return in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury serving the same purpose; in addition, glowing spots can be found on the top of lighthouses in the Bowser's Fury campaign.

Super Mario Odyssey[edit]

Glowing spots appear in Super Mario Odyssey as beams of light on the ground. When ground-pounded, various objects can appear, such as Power Moons or a ring of coins.
