(I put it down as a Winged Octorok variant, okay? By the way, it seems its Japanese psychopath thought mentions "patapata" (paratroopa), which I guess the translator mistook for the portuguese/spanish/galician word for leg, "pata". Weird, huh? I didn't put THAT down though.) |

Octolots are enemies that appear in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. They are first encountered in the Forest Maze. Octolots are able to fly by holding onto two bat-winged Sky Troopa shells via long poles. It is unknown whether the shells are a part of the creature itself or a separate entity entirely as they widen, akin to the creature's mouth, when spells are cast. They have very powerful magical attacks, much like their stronger relatives, Octovaders. Amanitas often accompany Octolots in battle.
Octolots appear to be based on Flying Octoroks from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.[1]
