Para-Goomba (Super Mario World)
- This article is about the species of parachuting Galoomba that appears in Super Mario World. For the winged Galoomba that appears in Super Mario World, see Flying Goomba (Super Mario World).
Para-Goombas (alternatively Paragoombas[1], Paragaloombas, or Parachute Galoombas) are Goombas with parachutes that first appear in Super Mario World. They descend slowly from the sky on parachutes, and once they land, they act like normal Goombas. A kind of Bob-omb known as Para-bombs also appear, which also use parachutes.
Para-Goombas also make a minor appearance in Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, where they are found at the end of the World-e level Rich with Ropes.
Para-Goombas make a reappearance in Super Mario Maker 2 after a long absence. They can only be made in the Super Mario World style by placing a parachute on a Galoomba. Their descending animation is changed to resemble the Galoombas' swimming animation from the first Super Mario Maker.
