"Enemy Course"[1] is a theme composed by Koji Kondo for Super Mario Bros. 3 that plays during Enemy Course battles against Hammer Bros, Boomerang Bros, Fire Bros, and Sledge Bros, as well as in the game's Battle Mode.

Super Mario series[edit]
Super Mario All-Stars[edit]
The Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros. 3 features a 16-bit arrangement of the theme; as with the original, it is heard in Enemy Courses. This arrangement is also used in Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition.

Super Mario Advance[edit]
Super Mario Advance features a chiptune arrangement of "Enemy Course" that can be heard during Battle Mode in the game's remake of Mario Bros. This arrangement returns alongside the Mario Bros. remake in Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3[edit]
An arrangement of "Enemy Course" by Taiju Suzuki similar to one heard in Super Mario All-Stars can be heard in Game Boy Advance remake of Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. This version is more compressed than the Super Mario All-Stars version and uses different, lower-quality synthetic instruments.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii[edit]
In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, a faithful arrangement of "Enemy Course" played on the keyboard with brass, bass guitar, cowbell, and drum kit accompaniment can be heard during the Enemy Course battles.
This arrangement is reused for Enemy Course battles in New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder[edit]
In Super Mario Bros. Wonder, after clearing the Trottin' Piranha Plants Break Time! level, the ending eight notes of the theme are played on the glockenspiel as coins appear at the corresponding note positions on the staff, with the final note being a Wonder Seed.[2]
Paper Mario[edit]
Paper Mario features an arrangement of "Enemy Course" by Yuka Tsujiyoko titled "Attack of the Koopa Bros." in the game's official soundtrack. As the name implies, it is heard when the player battles the Koopa Bros.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS[edit]
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS features a medley arrangement by Shota Kageyama of several themes from Super Mario Bros. 3 titled "Super Mario Bros. 3 Medley". It includes "Enemy Course" as well as the "Athletic Theme", the level clear theme, Giant Land's theme, and the "lost a life" fanfare. It can be played on the 3D Land stage.
The arrangement also appears in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, where it can be played on the Mushroom Kingdom U and Super Mario Maker stages, and returns in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where it can be played on any Super Smash Bros.-series and Super Mario-series stage.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie[edit]
The Super Mario Bros. Movie features an arrangement of "Enemy Course" in "Level Complete", the film's credits theme.

Nintendo Live 2023[edit]
Nintendo Live 2023 in Seattle, Washington, USA featured a live performance by the Super Mario Super Big Band of themes from various Super Mario games, including an arrangement of the "Enemy Course" portion of "Level Complete" from The Super Mario Bros. Movie.[3]
