Pokey Heads[1], also referred to as Pokey SproutsTemplate:Refneeded or just Pokeys[2], are enemies appearing in Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2. They are similar to a standard Pokey, but include only the head. They are green in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Unlike standard Pokeys, they cannot fall on Mario, as they are too small. Instead, they hide in the ground, pretending to be flowers, and jump when he approaches. They then hop toward Mario slowly. Trivia
- The overworld sprite of Pokeys in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time appears similar to a Pokey Head.
- They can be watered like normal flowers in Super Mario Sunshine before they attack, but this does not produce coins like a real flower. They do not make noises either.
