Room 8-1 (titled Room 7-1 in the British English version) is the first course of Jungle Hijinks in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. This level introduces Kongā.

The course features three Mini Marios.

Overview

One Mini Mario begins in the top left, below a Warp Pipe connected to another in the bottom left; two Moving Platforms are on either side of the Mini Mario. Taking the right Moving Platform upward leads to a yellow gate and another Moving Platform; a Crash Kong and a red Color Switch are on the ground below the platform. The Moving Platform next to this one takes the Mini to a red gate and the second Mini Mario, which begins near a Warp Pipe connected to another in the bottom right. Beneath the second Mini Mario and Moving Lift are another Crash Kong and a yellow Color Switch. Taking the left Moving Platform near the first Mini Mario all the way down leads to two pits of spikes, one of which has a blue bridge above it. Directly below the spikes is a room on the bottom left blocked off by a yellow gate and containing the third Mini Mario and a Warp Pipe. To the right of the spikes is a Kongā, which falls down attempting to crush the Minis; nearby are two bridges, red and blue, with a blue switch near the red bridge. The exit is below the blue bridge and above a yellow bridge and a body of water; to reach it, the player should guide the Minis onto the lifts and press the switches, making sure to press the yellow switch last.

Mini Mario Card

The Mini Mario Card is in a gap just below the Kongā. It can be collected by having a Mini Mario fall onto the Kongā, then get off before it gets crushed.
