Room 5-3 (titled Room 4-3 in the British English version) is the third course of Lava Dome in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. This level introduces Podoboos and Wall Jump Bars.

The course features three Mini Marios and one Gold Mini Mario.

Overview[edit]

Two Mini Marios begin at the bottom left, behind a girder over a pool of lava with two Podoboos periodically jumping out of it. After the lava pool is a ledge with a Yellow Spring, which can be used to bounce up to a girder with another Yellow Spring. To the right of the Yellow Spring ledge is the third Mini Mario; near it are two Wall Jump Bars which can be used to jump up to another set of Wall Jump Bars, then the top of the level. The Gold Mini Mario begins on a girder to the left of the second Wall Jump Bar set and above the Yellow Spring girder; two Blue Springs are on ledges on either side of the girder, which can bounce the Minis over the pit and a lava pool near the left containing another Podoboo. To the left of this lava pool is another Blue Spring near a third set of Wall Jump Bars. The exit is near the top, above the lava pool and second Blue Spring; to reach it, the player should guide the Mini Marios across the lava and onto the springs so they land on the Wall Jump Bars, then have them Wall Jump up to the top. The Minis can then use a nearby Yellow Spring to bounce up to the goal.

Mini Mario Card[edit]

The Mini Mario Card is to the right of the exit, near some stairs. It can be collected by following the same route to the exit, but after scaling the second set of Wall Jump Bars, the player should make the Mini Mario jump over the gap so it can land on the other side and walk into the card.
