- Not to be confused with Spin Drill.
Drill Spinning is a technique used by Mario and Luigi in New Super Mario Bros., New Super Mario Bros. Wii, New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and the Super Mario Maker games. The move causes Mario or Luigi to move in a downward, drill-like spin, which allows Mario or Luigi to break multiple Brick Blocks in a row. It also makes Mario or Luigi's descent much faster, though restricts their horizontal movement.
