This Koopa got a Mega Star. Now it's a mega problem. Don't look at it in 3-D, or it'll blow your mind!

That's a Mega Koopa... Enemies don't get any bigger or more pixelated than this... Max HP is 1, Attack is 2, and Defense is 1. It's probably best if you avoid it, unless you can match its size... How did a Koopa Troopa grow to be so big...?

The Mega Koopa is a giant Koopa Troopa in Super Paper Mario that got a Mega Star.

In Chapter 3-1, an ordinary Koopa Troopa saw Mario coming, so it ran for its life and hit a block containing the Mega Star and turned huge (using the same animations that any other character does when they use a Mega Star). Mario or Princess Peach (Bowser and Luigi can also encounter it once they join the party later on) need to become giant by using a Mega Star to defeat the Koopa, but it can also be defeated by an explosion of Boomer, Bowser's fire breath, Luigi's super jump, picking it up and throwing with Thoreau, protection barriers by Barry or Items. If the player picks up the Mega Koopa it will hide in its shell and can be kicked before it gets out. Oddly enough, when looked at in 3D, the Mega Koopa is 3D instead of flat.

It is possible to Tattle the Mega Koopa by returning to the room with it once the chapter is beaten.

When the player receives 100 shop points, they are given a Catch Card of the Mega Koopa.
