'''Gary''' is a rather ordinary [[Goomba]] and a member of [[Bowser|King Bowser Koopa]]'s legion of minions, the [[Koopa Troop]].

After wandering around aimlessly in Count Bleck's castle, [[Castle Bleck]], Gary and his Goomba companion found an unconscious [[Luigi]] who they, after complimenting him and telling him how great he was, used as a bodyguard. After traveling with Luigi for sometime and whispering snide remarks about him under their breath, Gary and his Goomba friend came upon a dead-end in Count Bleck's castle.

Before either Luigi, Gary or the other Goomba could turn back though, Gary was zapped by [[Nastasia]]'s, Count Bleck's assistant, hypnotic powers and transformed into a mindless servant of Count Bleck. Gary was last seen attacking Luigi along with his Goomba companion, who, at the sight of Gary being brainwashed, willingly joined Count Bleck's side.

Presumably he was one of the Goombas encountered in Castle Bleck (though more than once, two Goombas are seen together). Depending on whether the player chooses to fight him, he may or may not have been killed during this time.

Gary is an ordinary Goomba and a member of Bowser's army, the Koopa Troop. In Super Paper Mario, Gary is one of the many Goombas transported to Bowser's wedding to Princess Peach and later, to Count Bleck's castle. After the events of Chapter 2-4, in company with an unnamed Goomba, Gary eventually finds Luigi laying unconscious. Having convinced Luigi to act as their bodyguard, they continue to venture through the castle. Eventually, they find a dead end, and they are caught by Nastasia, who hypnotizes and brainwashes Gary into serving Count Bleck. Gary then helps hold down Luigi for Nastasia so she can hypnotize him into serving Count Bleck as well.
