Hi. My name is Ghostkaiba297. Since I was around four, I've been playing Mario games. My first Nintendo game was Super Mario Bros. I've beaten it so many times I'm almost pro at it. My second Mario game (not counting Super Smash Bros.) was Mario Kart, and my third was Super Mario 64. I've beaten it and we have all 120 stars. My third was Mario Party 2, and I like to play that game with my friend sometimes. My fourth was Super Mario Sunshine, and our fifth was Paper Mario. My sixth was Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and our seventh was Mario Kart: Double Dash. My eighth and ninth were Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3. They were kinda tough at first, but I eventually beat them both. Recently I beat Wart with 40 lives left off gambling. My tenth and eleventh were Super Paper Mario and Super Mario Galaxy. I've beaten Super Paper Mario, but my brother is more interested in Super Mario Galaxy. And I have to admit, it does look cool. I've actually beaten it now. My twelfth was New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I've beaten it a few times, but my brother keeps throwing me into the lava.
Currently I have every mainstream Mario game (excluding the two prequels). After I looked up each game on this wiki in fact to place a timeline together, I got Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Super Mario World, and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars on my Wii. Later I got a DS and tried out Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, and when I enjoyed that game so much, I got Superstar Saga, and also got Super Mario Land, along with a Game Boy player for my GameCube. After that I got Donkey Kong 3 on the Wii and got New Super Mario Bros. I got Partners in Time next, and then New Super Mario Bros., Super Princess Peach, and Luigi's Mansion, all at once. I got Super Mario Galaxy 2 as soon as it came out.
Favorite game
I dunno, but the Super Mario Bros. and Paper Mario series are cool. I do like Super Mario Galaxy and Galaxy 2 as well.
Favorite feature of Mario games
Mushrooms? Beanstalks? Penguins? Cannons? I think the gambling is the coolest, most Mario games always reference gambling, usually in slot machines.
What I hate the most in Mario games
- Single shrinkage. Which basically means, if you have fireballs or a powerup beyond the level of mushroom, if you get shrunk, you do not revert to big, powerless Mario, but rather small Mario. As opposed to double shrinkage, when if, say, in Super Mario Bros. 3 if you have fireballs and run smack into a Goomba, you turn into the big Mario with no fireballs, and you'll have to get hit again to become small Mario. The best three examples will be Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Land, and Super Mario World (though if you get a powerup the mushroom will still fall from the sky when you take damage).
- Invincible enemies. These are really annoying to have to get around, especially if they really bug me and I want revenge. (I can just say they spawned from Bonechill, and take me vengeance on him in Super Paper Mario, because he's really easy). Note that this includes enemies that can be killed by Stars, but they can't die any other way. Thwomps, Boos in some games, some of the fish in Super Mario Land 2 or Super Mario World, etc.
- Unimprovements in games. (See the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door thing below under "The Bad")
- Most underwater levels. The levels in Super Mario Land and Super Paper Mario aren't that bad, but the others can get annoying, especially if I don't have fireballs and can't defend myself.
- Pansers, and any variations of them.
- Overpowered final bosses with at least one attack that's either extremely powerful or hard to avoid. Cackletta and Elder Princess Shroob took me ages to beat, but I was able to beat Cackletta a second time. I won't count the Shadow Queen here anymore because I've beaten her more times than I can count. At least Fawful and Dimentio got pretty good battles. I only beat Smithy on my first try because Peach was equipped with the Lazy Shell, otherwise he'd be unbeatable; 9000 HP, insanely high magic attacks and the ability to attack twice per turn. I suppose Peach could heal everyone every turn, but if she got killed by Smithy's second attack, or if he used Dark Star on her...
- Technically speaking, Shrowser is the final boss, but his battle is more of a mini-game, as the Elder Princess Shroob battle is more of final boss material. They gotta stick a Bowser battle in the end, just like with Cackletta... but Bowser is a protagonist in the final battle of Bowser's Inside Story, though I guess the Mario Bros. do fight him after Fawful is destroyed
- Unavoidable hammage. Hammage? Make that damage. Unavoidable damage. There are a few cases I can think of, the only one that comes to mind at the moment is a point on Iggy's airship in Super Mario Bros. 3.
- Most of the female bosses, because I noticed they are usually insanely difficult to defeat. Hooktail is an exception, but we don't know until we fight Gloomtail. Wendy, Valentina, Cackletta, Elder Princess Shroob, Shadow Queen, (though admittedly the last three are final bosses, plus I'm better at fighting the Shadow Queen). Notice how the only male final boss in the Mario & Luigi series is easier to defeat, since his attacks are not upgraded as the battle progresses but he can attack more times per turn. Actually the Shadow Sirens and Mimi weren't too hard for me, but others might consider them difficult. Princess Shroob wasn't that tough; she's like the Grodus of Partners in Time, and I'm probably pro at the battle because I had to fight her six times to continue trying to beat Elder Princess Shroob. Actually I did beat Valentina on my first try (well, it did take me a few tries to get past the Dodo phase first), but only by a fluke because she has nearly every single devastating magic attack in her arsenal, and many of them are equipped with status afflictors. If Peach had recovered even one turn later, I would have lost. Wendy's not that tough in Super Mario World or New Super Mario Bros., but Super Mario Bros. 3 and Superstar Saga... (shudders)
- On a bit of a lesser scale, enemies who cause earthquakes when they land. The battles with Roy and Ludwig in Super Mario Bros. 3, I need a possession glove... I mean P glove to beat them, I have never beaten them without one.
- Status afflictors. When I'm on the receiving end of course, as I usually am. Poison isn't quite as bad, provided the damage per turn isn't insanely high (I remember seeing 50 damage from poison once... but that was what Bowser inflicted on Dodo, so that wasn't bad at all). Confusion, sleep, freezing, those are really annoying, and in the Mario & Luigi series, so is whenever Mario or Luigi gets tripped and cannot defend against enemy attacks.
- On another lesser scale, enemies immune to fire. Vivian's Fiery Jinx in TT-YD or Bowser's fiery breath in Super Paper Mario has no effect on Buzzy Beetles or other enemies.
- Crazy Dayzees, especially when they are in the audience of a Thousand-Year Door battle and put the other audience to sleep.
- When you spend a long time playing through a game and you get like 60 lives, and when you restart you have like 4.
Favorite battle
The Shadow Sirens in the Palace of Shadow (Thousand-Year Door), and Super Dimentio in Super Paper Mario cause we finally get to kill him for what he did to Fracktail (and made us do to him). I also liked the battle with Bonechill, it's easy and makes good use of Luigi's Super Jump, plus if ever I get really annoyed in ANY game, I can blame Bonechill and say that the enemies spawned from him (he IS a fallen Nimbi, after all). As a character for his role in Super Paper Mario, however, I have nothing against him in particular.
Hardest battle
I'm not sure. I do sometimes have trouble throwing Bowser into the spike the third time when you fight him in the Sky on Super Mario 64, and it took me four tries to beat Shadow Queen (but after that, I had an easier time beating her on a second play-through, and a third, etc.). I can easily get around Huff N. Puff with the Stone Cap strategy, but I'll say Wendy O. Koopa from Super Mario Bros. 3 is the hardest cause of those energy orbs that are floating around, you can't jump on them and I usually get hit atleast twice. Lemmy is easier cause you can jump on the rubber balls he throws at you.
I always found Bundt difficult, because he always kills me before I could blow out his candles. When I beat him, he just happened to not use Diamond Saw, and I never would have beaten him otherwise. The people at the forum even said I was overleveled. Like I said a few times before, Cackletta's ghost and Elder Princess Shroob were hard for me too, though I find Elder Princess Shroob harder it took me six tries to beat her (two of them getting used to her first form), while it took me at least a hundred tries to beat Cackletta, I lost count. Fawful in Superstar Saga is also hard, though this borders on chance because I can't seem to hit him with my hammer when he dives at me.
Favorite character
Hmmmm... I think it's a tie between Doopliss and Dimentio. Yes, I just expressed hatred toward Dimentio for making us kill Fracktail, but he is kinda cool, and I suppose he deserves a bit of credit in that he killed Mario, Peach, Bowser, and Luigi, something no other villain has ever done. I know Bowser has been killed on several occasions, but he always keeps coming back cause he's got infinite lives!
My other favorite characters are Luigi, Chuck Quizmo, and Tubba Blubba.
Favorite Minigame
On Mario Party 2. I like Hexagon Heat and Platform Peril. I also like the Battle Minigames, and had a heck of a time getting them in the Minigame Park (beat Minigame Coaster on hard).
Vegeta clone
I make a point of getting to and fighting the super-boss in the Paper Mario series. That's why I wanted to fight Bonetail, and on Tuesday, April 14th, I finally beat Wracktail. The only hard part was getting to him - once I fought him, Luigi's spring jump gave me a good head-jumping victory! By now, I've beaten both him and all 100 Sammer Guys twice. I've also beaten Shadoo. On April 20th, 2010, I fought Culex just to see what he was like (knowing that he was gonna be harder than Smithy) and not expecting to win, but I beat him on my first try.
Bonetail
I've beaten Bonetail a total of seven times. The fourth time was when I was waiting for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to come out, because that day was drawing ever near when I beat the Shadow Queen. I've lost to Bonetail a grand total of 0 times. He's not that hard, cause I usually have full stats before fighting him, leveling off an Amazy Dayzee at Floor 99. He's easier than Shadow Queen in my opinion, even though his stats exceed hers.
How I fight Bonetail
I just keep Flurrie in front and use Power Lift, and have her use Lip Lock on Bonetail every turn. I never even need to use an Ultra Shroom or Jelly Ultra to beat him, but often I do need to use something like a Jammin Jelly to recover FP to keep using Lip Lock. The first time (and maybe the second time) Flurrie got killed, but all the times after that she survived the full battle.
The fourth time was really annoying, however, because half the audience (maybe more than half) were Dry Bones, and they never give me Star Power. So no matter how many Stylish Moves I do, I found it hard to recover my star power and keep using Power Lift to make Lip Lock counteract Bonetail's attacks (he does 8 damage and she does 6 damage, but usually with Power Lift this is reversed). The seventh time, on May 9th 2010 (to feel a "completeness" with TT-YD for my Mario marathon) was worse, because the Crazy Dayzee put the audience to sleep, twice, and fog appeared, twice, and once I got a POISON SHROOM BINGO! ...but I still beat him no problem.
Yoshi
I used to hate Yoshi (not counting games like Paper Mario the Thousand-Year Door and Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, more like in competition games like Mario Kart), but that changed when my friend and I were trying to beat Tabuu on Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and with the combined power of Pikachu and Yoshi we managed to beat him. He may be a self-seduction with a helicopter, island, and planet that looks like him but he's cool.
Paper Mario Thousand-Year Door - changes from original
Here is my opinions on the improvements and unimprovements of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
The Good
- You can use the Action Command in the First Strike.
- Vivian's Veil only cost 1 FP, as opposed to Bow's Outta Sight which cost 2 FP.
- Dark Koopas aren't so tough.
- You can do stylish moves. That is good for recovering star power.
- You can do new attacks when you get the Super and Ultra Boots and Hammers.
- Your HP and FP can exceed 50.
- There are dragons in this game (No, Bowser is not a dragon)
- Boos are enemies. They are quite tedious to fight, since they can turn invisible, and I liked the fact that they weren't enemies in the first Paper Mario, and you couldn't fight them.
- There is an attack that you can use to kill an Amazy Dayzee.
- Peach cannot get caught by Grodus's guards, as she can by Bowser's in the first Paper Mario
- You get to play as BOWSER!!!
The Bad
- You have to pay to heal (except in the Glitz Pit and Excess Express)
- Koopas have 2 ATK points instead of 1
- Bob-ombs have defense points
- Bullet Bills and Bombshell Bills have defense points and only yield one Star Point each
- Bill blasters can attack every turn, and sometimes shoot two at once, and sometimes in the air, virtually unattackable
- That stupid status afflictor Confusion is added.
- All Piranha Plants are considered spiked. In the first Paper Mario, only the regular Piranha Plants are spiked and the Putrid and Frost Piranhas are not, while they are in Thousand-Year Door.
- Type advantages (ie: Ice or explosions on fire) do 1 extra damage, as opposed to 2.
The Ugly
- You get the Boots before the Hammers
- The main villain is not Bowser
- The main villain is not the final boss
- Star Spirit power requires action commands

Tatanga
- There seems to be a semi-debate between me and a user named Delsait as to whether or not Tatanga survives the end of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. He falls off the screen, which is your enemy death scene. The only characters to fall off the screen and reappear are Bowser Jr. in New Super Mario Bros., the Koopalings in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Squirps in Super Paper Mario, yet they seem to have physically fallen over the edge. Also, in a few games Bowser could potentially get this type of death/defeat scene with fireballs, but as he is always defeated by falling this time, and is usually on a bridge, then we'll say he fell over the edge too. Did any of the bosses in 6 Golden Coins reappear in a mainstream game? One did. Wario, who got his own series as a protagonist after Super Mario Land 2. And did he fall off the screen? Nope. He returned to his original size and ran away crying. Has Tatanga reappeared? Nope. Has anything confirmed his death? No, sure, but has anything confirmed his survival? Nope. Up to speculation... which will be my downfall here...
Timeline
In my opinion, the Mario games all form one timeline. In many cases, a villain like Petey Piranha, King Boo, or the Koopalings can be revived by Bowser, as destroyed enemies return in Super Mario Galaxy, and Petey Piranha does in Super Mario Sunshine. This is my order for the timeline:
- The prequels (Super Mario World 2 and Yoshi's Island DS)
- The events of Partners in Time that take place in the past (seeing as there's Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Bowser, etc.)
- Donkey Kong
- Donkey Kong Jr.
- Donkey Kong 3
- Super Mario Bros.
- Super Mario Bros. 2
- Super Mario Bros. 3
- Super Mario Land
- Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
- Super Mario World

You'll notice I stick each game system together. Also just because they were released first doesn't mean that was the order. Super Mario World came out between Super Mario Land and Super Mario Land 2, but the Super Mario Lands take place back to back and must be either before or after Super Mario World.
As for how Bowser returns after being crushed by his castle in NSMBW when Bowser Jr. (who presumably was reviving him all the time, like in New Super Mario Bros.) was also crushed, I don't know. Maybe he has infinite lives, and returns on his own, but then why did Bowser Jr. need to revive him in NSMB? Maybe unnamed Magikoopas brought him back to life. And on a side note, I speculate that Private Goomp, Sergeant Guy, and Corporal Paraplonk were among those captured by Bleck (what, did you see any Strikers get captured by Bleck? Yet they appeared) and warped to the Bitlands by Dimentio, and then were inside Bowser's lair when Mario blew it up. Of course Bowser is made of tougher stuff than them, but for the first time in a while, was defeated pretty easily afterwards...
My timeline has it so that Kamek, Bowser Jr., and the Koopalings all die in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and then Bowser turns good in Super Paper Mario, officially during the fight with O'Chunks, cause if you noticed, he still travels with Mario after you beat the game, after The Void is destroyed, unlike in Super Mario RPG, which has no endless play mode. Also, at the start of Endless Play Mode, it is implied that Mario, Peach, Bowser, and Weege went back to Mushroom Kingdom, and, after a LONG time (according to Merlon), returned. Bowser is still with Mario, Peach, and Luigi. You'd think that if Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Bowser's Inside Story took place AFTER Super Paper Mario (all of which Bowser is still as evil as usual, well, even more evil in Galaxy, slightly less in Bowser's Inside Story due to fighting Fawful), then at the very least Bowser would turn evil again after returning to Mushroom Kingdom - in which case, why would he come back with them instead of trying to kidnap Peach and defeat Mario again? Cause he appears to stay on their side LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG after saving all worlds, when his original intent (up until the fight with O'Chunks) was so he could rule the world himself someday... not like Super Mario RPG, which has an ending sequence and no endless play mode, Bowser immediately goes to his castle after Smithy is destroyed.

I was afraid due to trivia cleaning that the articles on this site would suffer and sink to wikipedia's level... but I heard from an admin recently that none of the admins wish to do this and only trivial trivia is being removed. So, I can relax now. I will not give up on this wiki like I did the Sailor Moon one, but I still might create one related to trivia only. But for stuff unrelated to trivia, I shall stay here, so fear not, I shall remain at Super Mario Wiki.
Maybe I won't remain
Don't get me wrong, I want to, but for no apparent reason, they seem to have a thing against saying what fans would speculate (even if it is specifically said to be speculation). Which in my opinion is rather pointless because Mario is like the main icon of Nintendo, and unlike most gamimg companies, Nintendo takes into consideration what the fans want. But I am not in a position to do a thing about it, as I am not an admin and never will be, especially since my time here may be up pretty soon. I'm trying not to put fan speculation (well, I have before until they told me not to put it, I tried wording something unbiased related to Tippi and Count Bleck, but they counted it anyway and gave me a warning. Someday I might accidentally put something like that on there again, and the way I see it, one more and they'll kick me out of here.
But this won't be the last the Mario fans hear of the "dreaded" Ghostkaiba297! For if I am banned from this site, I shall continue to spread my knowledge, so that no Mario fan will be spared from knowing what I know. There are two Zelda wikis, and a wiki dedicated to the Mario & Luigi series. I could create one all about the mainstream games. Not that this one isn't already awesome and have a sufficient amount of detail on most articles, but it does have its... weaknesses, if only minor ones. But I probably won't feel a need to create one unless I am banned from this one. Ghosts... don't... die! (with the exception of Cackletta, Bouldergeist, King Boo, and, in a subversion of the very ghosts who say it, Boos). MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
