Elite Troopeas are enemies in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its remake, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. They are a stronger, red-shelled version of the normal Troopeas as well as the Beanbean Kingdom equivalents of red-shelled Koopa Troopas. Elite Troopeas can be found in Gwarhar Lagoon; winged variants known as Scaratroopeas appear in Joke's End. Like other Troopeas, they appear as quadrupedal in the original game, and are bipedal and wear shoes in the remake.
Battle[edit]
Elite Troopas use the same moves as normal Troopeas; the ramming attack can be dodged by jumping or countered and used to kick the shell into other enemies, and they can also heal one enemy in their party. More unique to them is the ability to resurrect a defeated enemy.
Elite Troopeas appear as enemies in Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser, along with regular Troopeas. They are Melee troopers, and attack by charging into opponents. Their Special Skill, Rock Solid, allows them to enter their shells and raise their defense.
