Arrow Switches,[1] also called gravity switches,[2] are objects found in Luigi's Mansion. In this game, they flip Luigi between the floor and ceiling when he steps on one. They are found only in the Tea Room and in the Cellar.
Arrow Switches also appear in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. They can be found in several galaxies, including the Battlerock Galaxy, Dreadnought Galaxy, and Clockwork Ruins Galaxy. These arrows point in the current direction of gravity. When Mario or Luigi uses his spin within their vicinity, the arrows change direction and color, along with the direction of gravity.
Sometimes, by using other techniques, it is possible for Mario or Luigi to progress without hitting an Arrow Switch.
